Glenda Sherman’s Encouraging Word Regarding Kansas City
The shaking at IHOP-KC has had tremendous ripple effects throughout the broader church, both positive and negative.
The Lord and the enemy both want to use this: the Lord wants to use it to refine, revive, bring repentance, restore, and re-align His Body, but the enemy wants to use it to destroy, condemn, accuse, and to steal.
When Peter healed the lame man at the gate beautiful and “all the people ran together” because they were “greatly amazed.” Peter responded to them by saying this:
“Why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?
[Jesus’] name—by faith in His name—has made this man strong whom you see and know, and the faith that is through Jesus has given the man this perfect health in the presence of you all.”
(Acts 3)
God didn’t move because of a mere man’s own godliness — it was because of Jesus Christ!
And when Jesus sent out the 70, God used them mightily to heal the sick, cast out demons, and preach the good news before Jesus even went to the cross, before the disciples were baptized in the Holy Spirit, and even while they were bickering over who will be the greatest in the kingdom. Were the miracles performed through them any less valid or any less the heart of the Father because he used frail men? Certainly not!
Glenda has an important and powerful word regarding keeping our eyes on the Lord — what He has done, what He has said, and what He has promised is perfect and true. It can never be stolen from us, despite the frailty of man.
Please watch Glenda’s word above — it is very encouraging — and you will find yourself rejuvenated with faith in Him, in His name, in His righteousness, and in His work!
